Improved wireless services so that mobile devices can use network facilities. This means that you can access the internet, email and moodle using PCs, laptops, netbooks, iphones and iPads. Last year access was only available using PCs or netbooks.

The Study Room is now open all week.
For 2011-12 the Study Room will also be available for 2 early evenings a week to allow you to do your homework.

We have already tested the evacuation procedure earlier than last year. In 2011-12 we have undertaken an evacuation of the building in Week 2 against last year when it was after Autumn half term

The examination window (25%)
|
On-line resit requests are now available which will reduce waiting times. Out of 600 resit requests for the January examinations 200 have been completed this way.

The advertising of coursework deadlines (18.2%)

These are available on Moodle and reminders are sent out via Tutor Groups. You are reminded to enter the deadline in your diary.

Initial Diagnostic test completed earlier than previous years which will allow more students to be invited to attend ALS sessions throughout the year.

From October a new range of sandwiches will be on offer which will cost less.
Arrangements have been made to improve the Cash Machine service by making no charges for withdrawals.
