Information for Parents
Please click here to see the message to staff and students regarding parking on College Way.
We regularly issue bulletins and other information for parents and copies of these can be downloaded from the links below.
From September 2011, EMA will no longer be paid (except for some year 13 students who were in receipt of payment during 2010/11).

EMA Reminder (year 13 students in 2011/12 only)
We would like to take this opportunity to remind both parents and students that EMA will not be paid for absences due to sickness. EMA guidelines state that payment for sickness is at the discretion of the institution and a local area agreement with other Nottingham colleges determines our policy of not paying for sickness.
The only exception is in the case of long term, on going, serious illness which can be supported by a doctor's note and a referral from the Additional Support team.
We also do not pay for absence due to students attending doctors or dentist appointments. We expect students to make such appointments in their own time.
Notice regarding parking in the vicinity of the College
We discourage students from driving to college because unfortunately we have no student parking available on site. We also discourage students from parking in the residential estate across College Way, as there is wheel clamping in operation in the area. When dropping off and picking up, parents and others are politely requested to respect our neighbours by taking appropriate care to keep access to private driveways open and not to use private driveways for waiting.

Absence
If your son or daughter is absent due to sickness please make sure that you call the absence line on 0115 9292628 for each day of sickness.
If they are absent for any other reason you should complete an Advanced Absence Notification form at least 24 hours before the absence (available from student support).
