Welcome to your future...

International Baccalaureate First for the City of Nottingham

Bilborough College IB students exceed the world-wide average of global IB scores and pass rate.

Our first ever cohort of International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) students sat their exams in May 2011 and were rewarded for all their hard work with some fantastic results.

  • In total 73% of the diploma students scored at least 360 UCAS points, which is the equivalent of AAA at A level.
  • Every Bilborough IB student who applied to university got a place.
  • Bilborough College was listed in the Times newspaper as one of the top institutions in the country for studying the IB
  • Bilborough College exceeded the global average for points per student worldwide and achieved better results than many fee paying and selective schools in the UK and around the world.
  • Every single student on the IB programme completed at least 50 hours of voluntary community service, 50 hours of physical activity and 50 hours of creative activity on top of their demanding academic studies.
  • Two students were awarded bi-lingual diplomas indicating total fluency in two languages and two have gone on to pursue their studies abroad.
  • While the majority of our students are local we have also recruited students from Holland, Spain, France, Japan, Nigeria, Lithuania, Germany and Poland giving the IB a truly International flavour.
