Visa Information

UK Student Visa

The UK has a new Visa system called the Tier 4 Points Based System.  The rules are much tougher and it is essential that you make sure your application is completed thoroughly and carefully and provide all of the relevant evidence documentation required.  If you are unsure or have any questions, please contact your Agent in country or the International Team.

Bilborough College is a Highly Trusted Sponsor and we can be found on the Register of Tier 4 Sponsors.  You will be classed as an Adult General Student even if you are under the age of 18.  The UKBA website has detailed information about applying for a Visa and the regulations that come with your Student Visa.

The college have tried to simplify the evidence requirements.  Please read the Visa Evidence document carefully and if you have any further questions get in contact with your Agent in country or the International Team.

Visa Extensions

The college has a dedicated member of staff to deal with all Visa applications and questions.  If your Visa expires during your studies at Bilborough College or if you need to repeat a year or re-sit any exams, we will help you to apply for a Visa extension.

Holiday Visas

If while you are studying in the UK, you want to visit another Country for a holiday, our dedicated Visa member of staff will assist you with completing an application and getting your evidence documentation together.

Please be aware that if you are under the age of 18, some countries need to have extra evidence such as your Birth Certificate and photocopies of your parent’s passports.   Copies of your parents passports must be verified by an official such as a solicitor and if they are not in English then you must also provide a certified translation.  Likewise if you are providing a photocopy of your Birth Certificate then it must also be verified by an official.  You will also need to provide a letter from your parents giving you permission to travel alone without them and that you are an independent student living in the UK.
