International Baccalaureate

A Level Preparation Programme
This one-year programme is designed to prepare international students for academic study at a prestigious sixth form college and guarantees progression onto a two-year A Level course. The programme is for students who do not meet the English language or academic requirements to start the A Level course immediately.
Entry Requirements
You will need the equivalent of at least five GCSEs at Grade C or above, two of these need to be at least Grade B and one of them Grade A.
If your country does not have a formal examination structure in your final year at High School, then you will need to supply us with formal end of year report for each of your subjects.
If you are not from China (includes Hong Kong) or Vietnam you will also need to arrange a
Statement of Comparability from
Naric. This statement provides details of how your qualifications compare to UK qualifications.
You will also need a recent IELTS Certificate with a minimum IELTS level of 5.5-6.0 to begin the A-Level and International Baccalaureate courses and 5.0 to begin the Pre-sessional English course starting in July.

How to Apply
Using an Overseas Representative
We currently have overseas representatives in Hong Kong; Mainland China and Vietnam. Please see the
Overseas Representatives section for their contact details.
If you are in one of these three areas, using an agent will very beneficial, they have up to date information about the college and will be able to answer all of your questions. They will discuss your education needs and assess your suitability for studying at Bilborough. They will also provide advice and guidance with all aspects of applying for a Tier 4 Student Visa.
Directly to the College
If you are not in one of these countries then please apply directly to the International Team. The team will be happy to answer any questions and will guide you through the application process and your Visa application.
To apply directly we will need a fully completed Application Form (see below),
Parental Consent Form (only for students aged under 18), evidence of your academic and English language ability, and if possible a visit to the college where you will also sit an entry exam. Our
